My partner & I earned 3rd place of 180 teams with OffRecord: a playlist-sharing app that enables users to engage with music as a medium
for social justice & cultural education.

In Fall 2020, my team of 2 had 3 days to present a solution to the Adobe x MTV Creative Jam prompt: "Design a mobile app that empowers an individual to encourage advocacy among their network by sharing. Tie the sharing to a cultural event or historic movement important to them and give them tools encouraging donations, volunteerism, and action."

We designed an app for curious young adults who are seeking out knowledge through dialogue, beyond a traditional classroom setting. The primary feature, Listening Parties, addresses an urgent need for human connection in our current remote circumstances. A user is prompted to either start or join a party to listen with their friends to engage in meaningful conversation. They may also create their own unique playlist tailored to an issue that they are passionate about bringing more awareness and action to. OffRecord serves as a creative, collaborative, and critical outlet for individuals to seek out change in their communities.
